Sourdough Starters are like a pet, it’s alive and if you feed and care for it properly, it will be your friend for many years. But unlike a dog, your sourdough starter can give your a new and exciting bread-making and eating experience! Come learn about sourdough starters with, from 4-4:20pm on Saturday, March 16th. It is the eleventh of twelve food talks that will happen at the Make It Resource Center in the Good Food Commons curated by your friends at the Edible Alchemy Foods Co-op?.
Breanne joined Growing Home in March 2010 as the Field Training Specialist, after working in environmental education, conservation research, and teaching at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Since then she has immersed herself in growing food in small and unusual spaces, foraging fruit, preserving food and concocting the perfect compost tea recipe, maintains a private rooftop garden, and raises chickens!
